Mt. San Jacinto College and Baseball Program Facts
Nestled in the Hemet Valley, approximately an hour and a half east of Los Angeles is the acclaimed Mt. San Jacinto Community College. The college serves and average enrollment of over 11,000 students from Beaumont, Banning, Yucaipa, Hemet, San Jacinto, Perris, Moreno Valley, Temecula, and the surrounding valleys.
Mt. San Jacinto is a fully accredited two year college sending many students each year to four year colleges and to numerous jobs in and out of the state.
Mt. San Jacinto College has a complete athletic program which includes the major sports: foothil, men and women's basketball, baseball,
women's softball, and many others. MSJC has a tradition of developing athletes who go on to perform at both the collegiate and professional level.
The surrounding area provides a diverse geography that includes recreational lakes, mointains, desert, and wide-open spaces. There is freeway access to ocean beaches, skiing, and cultural offerings in San Diego, Los Angeles, and Orange County. Weekend recreational oppurtunites are a few hours away in Las Vegas, Arizona, and nearby mountain resorts. Local theater productions and art galleries provide year-round entertainment, including the famous Ramona Festival Pageant.
Baseball coach, Steve Alonzo has been the head baseball coach at the college since 1986, and has distinguished himself as one of the premier college coaches in Southern California. Coach Alonzo has sent many of his players into professional baseball and numerous four year institutions in the United

There's a new vibe coming from the nest of the Mt. San Jacinto Eagles. You can feel it everywhere on campus, and it's spreading acrossed the Hemet Valley! The Mt. San Jacinto Eagles Baseball Team is back and getting ready to fly into the 2013 season with a new felling pf pride and determination.
The Eagles are entering the season with a new spirit, a "can do" spirit that only a CHAMPION can have. Many new projects are underway at the college field, and with your vision and assistamce, the changes we really need can become a reality.
The Eagles staff wants to build a world-class college enviroment!
Why now?
Twenty-five year Eagles Baseball Manager Steve Alonzo says it best, "It's high time our community is invited to enjoy this program. We are a top-flight championship team. Our players go on to big things, from the minors and four year Universities. It’s our desire to build an place that draws the citizens of the Hemet Valley out to the ball games, where they can enjoy the best college-level play in Southern California. Baseball is America’s pastime, and with the proper facility, the MSJC Eagles will be able to entertain thousands of local families each season.”
